Gnar on the Thar...Remember to quench your thirst!

When Vancouver is turned into a winter wonderland a few weeks out of the year... you go out and play!

There are plenty of close "trail less travelled" day hike options to escape the crowds when Vancouver is turned into a winter wonderland. Whether that be climbing up to the peak of a mountain on a blue bird day, or cracking a cold one with the Easter Bunny after some back country boarding.

One of our favourite spots is along the Coquihalla Highway in B.C. The area has many options for those wanting to break out the back country ski's, snowboard and snowshoes for the day. With trail levels ranging from moderate to advanced, there's something for everybody.

Since we are from "the great white north", it is totally appropriate to bust out the shorts and tank top while shredding down the mountain.

Always make sure to bring some trail mix for the resident Whiskey Jacks!
