Hot & Steamy in Grizzly Bear territory...
Pemberton, B.C.
What's better then taking a hot bath after a long winter hike?.... The answer: Taking a hot bath in the wilderness amongst the snoozing
(and protected) Grizzly Bears
We spent the night before our hike in the quaint town of Pemberton. The old style bar underneath our hotel was filled with locals and one very adoring pooch. It happened to be karaoke night, and like true Canadians, we ended the night by belting the songs of The Tragically Hip.
With chains on our tires and coffee in our bellies, we made the bumpy yet stunningly scenic drive up to the trail head for Key Hole hot springs.
Oooing and Ahhing around every corner as the views did not disappoint. This was a moderate hike with tons of fresh powder. After finally finding the hidden, slick, slide like pathway down to the hot springs, we were met with a friendly... yet fully nude group of hikers enjoying a soak.
We did not get the naked memo.
